It's Been Awhile

I just decided to check up on everybody. I can't believe it has been since Sept 10 since I last posted. Life has been so crazy. Having four kids just keeps me going I am hoping to get back into blogging, it is the only journal I keep. Bree is now 5 months old, it is so sad how fast time goes by. She finally rolled over today. That was pretty exciting. She hates her tummy time I felt like a child abuser putting her on her belly like the doctor said I need to do. She would just scream.

The kids are excited for Christmas. I took Kelsey to buy presents for everybody. She wrapped them last night and this morning Cayden carried his present around. He kept saying it is Christmas I want to open it. I told him it is not Christmas yet. He said yes it is see we have a tree. I told him that just means we are getting ready for Christmas and that it is not Christmas yet. He said look at my present see it says "Cayden is a big boy, it is Christmas he can open his presents". I said no it doesn't it says "Let it Snow". While I was at work he opened it a little bit. I doubt he waits until Christmas. Tomorrow while he is at preschool I am hoping to get all the presents wrapped. But I think I will have to keep them locked up.

Random Thoughts and Pictures

Cayden and Bree
Cayden loves to hold his little sister. He always says "mom take our picture". So I am going to have lots of pictures of them together. I hope they are good friends when they grow up.
Chase had his first soccer game last night. We missed last week. He did really good. Last year he just kind of stood around and ran up and down the field. Last night he actually was paying attention to the game and almost made a goal. I hope it is going to be a better season for him. He loves to play sports.
Me and Bree
Bree will be 2 months old tomorrow. I can't believe how time flies. She is such a good baby. Very happy. Sometimes I forget about her because she is so good to just entertain herself.
Dad and Bree
Jason has Bree wrapped around his little finger. He always said he didn't want anymore girls, but you can already tell that Bree will be able to get away with anything and get whatever she wants when it comes to her dad.
Bree's New Crib
I was standing in line at the customer service at Walmart and looked over at their recall board. I noticed that the crib we had bought for Cayden 3 years ago had been recalled because the front part can possible come off. So we got to chose a new crib. It was fun getting a new crib to match her room better.

Bree's First White Dress

Grandpa Julander gave Bree her blessing yesterday in church. He gave such a great blessing. Jason was too nervous to do it. But that's okay, I think I would be too. Bree slept through the whole thing which I was glad. I always worry that the baby will scream during the whole thing. So everything went good.
In the circle was Jason, my dad, my brothers Josh, Jarom and Kyle, Grandpa Hendrickson, Jeremy (brother in law) and Jason's dad. It is great to have so many priesthood holders in the family. All of my brothers and sister attended with their families, and Jason's sister, Raquel's family and my sister in law Paula and her kids. My uncle Ron and Kaylene and my Cousin Ashely and her family and my cousins, Kaylee, Brindy, and Rendall were also there, they came up from Oregon for my Great Grandma Hendrickson's funeral which was yesterday in Gunnison. So it was nice that they could come too. My aunt Becky and uncle Russell, and cousins Michelle and Carrie were also there from Arizona. My niece Brittney was also there. She even bore her testimony. I missed it because I was out taking care of Bree. But I am so proud of her, she has not been active most of her life. She has been through a rough time lately. It is great to know that she is turning to our heavenly father for help. Raquel also gave a beautiful testimony. It was a great testimony meeting.

Afterwards we had a dinner at my house. There was about 35 people. It was great. We had enough food and everyone had fun visiting. Here are a few pics. I also got her pictures done at JC Penny so I will post them when I get them back. Bree wore the same dress that Kelsey wore when she was blessed.

1st Day of School

Oh how I have been looking forward to today. The 1st day is so exciting yet full of nerves. Kelsey was worried about getting on the bus. We weren't sure exactly where she was supposed to get on. I told her just to stand by the road and hope a bus will pick her up. We did find out the bus number so she could make sure she got on the right bus. I would hate for her to end up in Bear Country.

I guess she made it to school. I wish I would have sent her with a cell phone so I could text her to see how the bus went. I almost lost it when I watched her walk onto the bus. I remember how scary it is. You wonder if you are on the right bus, you wonder where you should sit. It is just plain scary. I can't wait for her to get home so I can see how her first day went.

Then there is Chase who started 1st grade today. I am so excited that he is going to have something to do. Last year he was in afternoon kindergarten and all morning he would say is it time for school yet. I am glad he is all day now. He was not nervous at all. He was joking around saying what's my name again. It is funny how all kids are different and deal with new experiences differently.

Cayden starts preschool on Wednesday. I am way way excited for that day. I love Cayden to death but he is just a handful. He has so much energy that I just can't keep up with. I hope he doesn't drive his teacher crazy.

Pics of Kids

Sunday me and my sister went up by Wellsville to take pictures of the kids. I was hoping to take some cute sunflower pictures. But most of them were dead. I did get a few cute pictures though. I was glad it stopped raining. Bree is now 6 weeks old.

Bree's First Smile

Bree smiled for the first time the other night. Her dad was holding her and talking to her and she smiled twice. I was kind of hoping that her first smile would be for, I don't know, maybe the person that carried her around for nine months. The person who feeds and changes her diaper. But Whatever. Now the trick is to get a picture of that toothy grin.

Mirror Mirror On the Wall

Cayden was so cute today. I was doing my hair and he was standing on the counter by me. He looked in the mirror and said " I want to play in there". I had to explain to him why he couldn't go in the mirror and play.

Discovery Gate

Yesterday was an eventful day. It usually is when I decide to take the kids to do something fun without Jason. Me, Amy, Jarom and Launa decided to go down to the Discovery Gateway because we had some free tickets. I was following Amy going about 80 mph when my back passenger tire blew. I wasn't sure what was going on at first. I looked around to see what the noise was and then I felt the durango shaking. That is when I knew. I had to pull over on the left side of the freeway because I was in the fast lane. Luckily there was a big area. I called Amy and told her what had happened. The crappy thing is that my spare tire is sitting home in my garage. Jason never put it back on after our last flat. He said the thing is broke that holds it on underneath. So Jarom came and took off my tire while Amy went to like 4 tire stores trying to find me a tire the same size. I guess the size we have is discontinued. She finally found one and Jarom took my tire to get a new one put on the rim. We sat on the side of the freeway for 2 1/2 hours. With 4 kids that was real fun. Luckily no one had to go to the bathroom and I had packed some water bottles. When we got the tire on we went to McDonalds to eat. The kids were onery and hungry by then. Then we went on our way to the Gateway. The kids had fun playing with the toys. It is a really fun place for little kids. Kelsey is a little too old for it but she was just happy to get out of the house. Here are a few pics of the day.

24th of July pics

Baby Show at the park on the 24th
I don't need anyone to tell me I have the cutest baby. But that doesn't mean I don't like showing her off.
Bree's baby show outifit
Cayden, Dakota and Kyson watching the sheep at the rodeo. The boys were just too cute standing on the fence. They thought it was fun to watch but Dakota and Cayden wouldn't ride the sheep. Kyson was forced to by his dad.
Bree 3 weeks old
It is so amazing the changes that newborns go through the first month. I love when she watches me talk with those big eyes. I can't wait until she is smiling that is when the fun begins.

Adjusting to Changes

You would think after having four kids you would know how to be a good mom. I feel like everything is just out of control. I am eating my through this past week. Well that is going to stop right now. I am going to take control and get my house clean and try to find some kind of routine. it is amazing how adding another person to your family changes everything. I can't wait until school starts so I can have a little break from the kids. I still haven't decided if I am going to take classes this fall or not. I am so confused and don't want to overwhelm myself with too much.

Baby Bree's Arrival

Bree Lynette Anderson
Born July 11 2009 at 4:36 a.m.
Weight: 6 lbs 7 oz.
Height: 19 1/2 inches

Friday night I was having contractions. I had called the hospital earlier and they said that what I was feeling was normal and that they would see me Monday. (I was scheduled to go in at 8:oo a.m. to be induced.) I felt better in the afternoon and then that night I was having contractions again. They were about as painful as the ones I had been having the past couple of weeks. I went to bed. Took a pain and sleeping pill and I was out. Then I woke up at 2:00 a.m. and I was having pain and kept needing to go to the bathroom. I think I was walking around like a crazy person. Jason kept saying do you want to go to the hospital. I said no, I just need to go to the bathroom. Finally at 3:45 I said lets go. I was thinking that they would just send me home anyways. So we grabbed our stuff and headed out the door. On the way to the hospital we realized we forgot to wake up Kelsey and tell her we were leaving.

We walked into the emergency room and I took a seat in the waiting area and Jason went to sign me in. There was other people there and I was just crying and was having a hard time sitting. I yelled to Jason around the corner. It seemed like it was taking forever but it was probably only 5 minutes. They came and got me and got me into my room. The nurse checked me and said this baby is coming now. They paged the on call doctor and I had to wait until he got there to push. I was screaming. It was too late to get an epideral. It was so awful. The hospital thought my doctor was out of town so they didn't even call him. It turned out the he was home after all. Anyways 2 push and she was out. The nurses said almost all their 4 am babies come within 20 minutes and that is what happened. It was so crazy. It is all a blur to me. I can't believe someone would choose not to have an epideral. I am glad it is all behind me. She was born on our 12th wedding anniversary. I love you honey.

Bree right after she was born.
Jason was so cute talking to his new daughter.
After delivery
Bree had to be hooked up to monitors for a little while. They wanted to check her lungs because she never cried after she was born. Not even when they gave her her shots andcleaned her up.

Kelsey was so excited to hold her new sister.
Big Brother Cayden
at first Cayden was excited to see his new sister, then he just wanted to leave and then he wanted to hold her. A little mixed emotions i think.
Big brother Chase
Chase wasn't sure if he wanted to hold his new sister. We finally talked him into it so we could take a picture.
My dad sleeping in the chair at the hospital.
He brought my kids to come see the baby and found the chair in the corner and took a nap. I had called him at 5 o clock in the morning telling him I had my baby and asked if he would go stay with my kids. It all happened so fast we didn't even tell them we were leaving.
Jason finally held his daughter that night. He is scared of little babies. He was so cute with her. Too bad he woke up the next day puking his guts out. Now he doesn't dare hold her again.

My Little Fishermen

Jason took the boys to Honeyville pond last night. He didn't feel very good but has been promising Cayden he would take him fishing. At dinner Cayden said his own little prayer and prayed that dad would take him fishing. So Jason felt like he couldn't let him down. Both Cayden and Chase caught fish by themselves. They were so proud of thier 11 inch fish. They both came running in the house holding their fish by the tails. Jason forgot to take something to put the fish in so the boys held them in their laps on the way home.

Baby Bree's Room

My sister came and helped me paint the baby's room the other day. Thanks sis!! It is a light pink. I still have things to get to put on the walls, but at least now I feel like I am ready for her to come home. I packed my hospital bag last night. Every night I have contractions and wonder if I am going to go into labor. I go to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully we will set a date to start me if I haven't had her by then.
